New lowest fuel consumption record set by drivers travelling across China in Roewe i6

A new Guinness World Record has been set by two amateur drivers who attempted the Lowest fuel consumption driving to 30 contiguous provinces in China (petrol car), after being challenged by SAIC Motor Corporation Limited to test their latest Roewe vehicle.
Li Chenyang and Wang Weixin drove a Roewe i6 16T (1.0T) an incredible 11,975 km (7,440 miles), across 77 cities, and managed to use just 2.99 litres per 100 km (94.48 UK mpg; 78.67 US mpg).
Just 357.92 litres of fuel was used for the entire journey.
